Linwood Kennerly Payne, Jr.
Dr. Payne was a group leader in Agricultural Chemicals for the Carbide Tech Center. He was traveling to Kansas City on company business. He held degrees from the Universities of Virginia and Kansas, and had several patents in the chemical field. He was one of the transfer passengers from TWA flight 69. Dr. Payne left behind a wife, Betty Lou, and sons Christopher, Douglas, and Gregory.
