Mary Ann Elizabeth DeCourcy

Mrs. DeCourcy was flying to meet her husband Joseph, who was employed by the Drackett Co., and had recently been transferred to St. Louis from Cincinnati. They were expecting to sign the closing on their new house in St. Louis that week.
The couple had two small children, Page and Christie, who were supposed to have accompanied Mrs. DeCourcey on the flight. She had decided at the last minute it would be better for them to stay with their grandparents in Cincinnati until the paperwork on the house was finalized. I've had contact with her first cousin, who has graciously informed me that the grandparents (very sadly) ended up taking her children in permanently.
Mary Ann's name is on the grave marker for her family at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Cincinnati, even though her remains were never identified.
