Cities that DON'T lie in the Path of Totality

You need to go to the maps, and find a city that is in the path, or you'll miss the main show!

The cities that are listed here are basically of two varieties:

1) Bigger cities that are well outside the path, where there are lots of people who might think "Oh, I've got a pretty high percentage of coverage of the sun, so I should just stay put and I'll still see something pretty cool."

NOT! You will not see anything! If you have less than about 96% coverage, you'll barely be able to even tell there's an eclipse going on! And you'll miss totality! Get into the path -- please!

2) Smaller cities that lie just outside the path of totality. People here might think they're going to get a good show, but they won't!

Right on the edge of the path, there will significant darkening of the sky, and you may get a good view of lots of Bailey's Beads, but you will get hardly any corona, and the effect will only last a couple of seconds! Please, even if you have 99.9% coverage, move on into the path a little ways, and treat yourself to a lot of totality!

If your town isn't listed here, then it doesn't fit into one of these categories. Get yourself into the path!

Here are the cities, and the percentage of coverage of the sun they'll experience:
