National Anthems
Oct. 2005 update. I've now completed all the National Anthems,
and have the parts (for WW Quintet) for pretty much any anthem you'd want!
Here is a partial list of national anthems I've arranged for Woodwind Quintet. They also serve as good five-part
arrangements if you need one for any particular purpose. I can provide you PDFs of the parts if you like, but I
would appreciate your e-mailing me and offering a small donation for the work that went into them.
*The ones marked with an asterisk are my favorites, just because the music is so nice...

Yes, this is "Danny Boy", and it's probably my best arrangement. Our quintet has played it many times in performance, and it comes across very nicely. The MIDI is rough, but will give you some idea! |

(This same music serves also as Liechtenstein's anthem,
even though |

(Yes, I know this is also the old Soviet anthem. After the Sydney Olympics in 2000, when no Russian medal winners could sing the words to the anthem Russia had adopted after Communism fell [because there weren't any words], they adopted the old Soviet anthem with different lyrics.) |

'Was Hilfe brauche ich hier, bitte. |

(Why did I do this one? Well, it's kinda cute, so, what the heck? This is the one from Saddam's time, not the newer one they just adopted [though I have that one, too]) |
|||
Simply the prettiest... | |||
(Hey, where else but on mcglaun.com could you find the Mongolian National Anthem arranged for woodwind quintet?! Seriously, though, it's here because it's just such a nice Anthem. Give it a listen!) |

A somewhat strange anthem. It mixes Western and Swazi musical styles, and definitely has a melody, though it's hard to pick up on! |
